In response to discussion at a congregational meeting on Sunday, February 22, 2015 and a decision by session on March 5, the session has approved two overtures to present to the Presbytery of Detroit, one seeking to rescind the action of the General Assembly in the summer of 2014 which called for divestment from three companies doing business in Israel, and another seeking to place constraints on how divestment is used in the future.
If approved by the Prebytery of Detroit, these overtures will be presented to the General Assembly for consideration in June 2016.
