The promotion of social righteousness.
The phrase “social righteousness” has carried two primary meanings for Christians in 20th and 21st century America: either it means individual uprightness, or it means social justice. But as far as the church is concerned, both of these ends are two sides of the same coin – together they form a critical task for the church in any age.
