Risen (Part 1)
According to Matthew’s gospel, when Jesus appears to the disciples, he issues the “great commission,” sending them out to baptize and to teach. The resurrection and the great commission are inextricably linked: now that we know that God has authority even over the grave, we have nothing to fear as we go out into the world to share the good news in word and deed.
