Audio Video Numbers 13:30 – 14:4, 26-35
Wanderers (Part 1)
The people of Israel waited generations, watched the mighty hand of God bring about their deliverance, and stood on the brink of enjoying the fulfillment of God’s promise to them. And they decided the risk of entering the Promised Land was too great, and that going back to Egypt was a better plan. Their punishment for their lack of trust was to wander in the wilderness for 40 years. Lent is a time for us to acknowledge our own wandering spirits and to let the faithless parts of us perish in the wilderness.
