After worship in the chapel

As Christmas approaches, let's spend some time taking a careful look at the way that the different gospels narrate and frame the coming of the long-expected Messiah. The two accounts we rely on most—Matthew and Luke—tell very different stories. Mark says nothing about Jesus' birth. And John is in a world all his own with highly philosophical and metaphorical language. Though they do not always agree, the four gospels together provide a fuller picture of what God has done for us in Christ.
